My nearly 14-year-old son announced this morning that he wouldn't be available for babysitting Friday night... because he wanted to go to a school dance. With friends, granted, instead of a specific date, but still a first.

patgreene is going to Florida as a legal volunteer for Election Protection . Trying to prevent vote suppression and intimidation in the voting there. And now I just heard that Nancy is doing K/E get-out-the-vote in Minnesota, standing in a downpour with signs at a highway intersection in another swing state. I'm proud of them -- and neither job is without risks.
