Just after the official opening of hurricane season, Hurricane Alberto takes aim at the west coast of Florida... second earliest ever.

drill testing this week...

This week is our final one of testing here... we have the drill hardware company (Honeybee) and Georgia Tech (vibration monitoring) here to integrate their hardware and software and for our dress-rehearsal... let the drill operate hands-off for two hours, due Wednesday afternoon.

Otherwise... dangerpudding linked to the Devon Island entry, which I noticed had errors, and corrected the entry. Certainly Haughton Crater isn't a lake, or I'd have been swimming in it...

Once things were rolling here, I drove across the bay to have lunch with grynz and dawnd, probably the last time in several weeks I'll have that luxury. It was good to vent a little there, after the past week or so.
