in DC for Mars planning

Yesterday the work year started in earnest for me, up at 4am to head to SFO for an early flight. I worked on my LPSC paper on the planes, and had a nice cuddly lunch with Nancy in frigid Minneapolis. After a hassle at DCA with Hertz (they were out of cars, and tried to get me to accept a piece of junk), I checked in to my hotel in Tyson's and headed out for dinner with selki at Busara. We talked about space and dancing and figure skating... a pleasant evening.

Today I'm heading out to a Mars planning meeting in Crystal City, submitting the LPSC paper online (today's the deadline), going by a colleague's reception afterward before meeting geekchick here...
