Adaptability, today

Adaptability... to weather, which changed to colder temperatures and rain today. But there was a 6-hour break according to satellite photos, so I mobilized the team and we successfully ran another 10km walkback test (from within the crater) from 5-9pm. Weather is back to rain... forecast to get colder with snow by Friday. So using every opportunity is important.

Adaptabilty... to last-minute requests for live videocasts. In this case, Dr. Jeff Jones (from JSC) is teaching a Life Sciences section at the International Space University summer program in Beijing. (NASA-Ames is planning to host it in a future summer.) Anyway, we were requested to give brief talks and then do a half-hour of Q&A... from 2:45-3:45am. (grin) Which went well... the three of us on-camera answered questions and the mixed group of international students seemed appreciative.

Now, off to bed for a few hours...
