Spanish truckin'

[personal profile] hopeforyou is doing better, and is busy photographing pieces of Spanish military equipment at Torrejon AFB outside of Madrid... I thought I'd share a couple.

The exterior of the truck that will house our communications gear, some of which [personal profile] hopeforyou is otherwise installing this week:

And there she is, in one piece...

It's funny how trucks can 'look' European. Apart from the European number plate, I don't know what it is that makes it hard for me to imagine it being on American or Australian roads. The stockyness? The fact that it looks so clean? Maybe there just aren't Merc trucs on this side of the Atlantic or the other side of the Indian.

We had a pretty dirty, banged-up Merc school bus in Booleroo Centre. :) And it had a roo bar.

For me, the primary difference is that different companies make trucks for those markets, and they have a very European look to them.

Right, but what makes a truck 'look' European?

Then again, I've yet to be able to describe what makes somebody 'look' bisexual, even though I seem to be pretty good at guessing.
