The only way that I kept JL from pressuring my management to force me to blow-off the Mars drilling meeting, was to promise to have the whole week's worth of stuff done in two days. Oh, and I bought a new (used) computer on eBay... our 6-year-old family Mac 4400 barely boots and takes 4 min to launch Netscape. We can't afford a new machine, so I bid successfully on a three-year-old iMac DV for $360. Painful to spend the money, but it will run OS X and will hopefully carry us for another couple of years.
