Getting out...

(smile) that was lots of fun... I went to a local party at a friend's house, one of a series. It was a good balance... just the right amount of music, flirting, conversation, costumes, serious topics, jokes, puns, chocolate and (re-)connection. My batteries have a higher charge now, and the recent depression is at least in hiding :-).

We dropped the kids off at a babysitter, so Pat went with me. And she looked very nice in her black velvet, and it was fun to be affectionate and to introduce her around. After a while, she loosened up and struck up her own conversations, and I could wander off for longer periods without feeling like I was leaving her adrift. She's trying, at least, in an overtly poly social setting. (nods)

Thanks! Both for the compliment, and for helping put on the party. It was refreshing, lacking a better term... I was in-element and wished I could have stayed longer. (smile)
