minor LJ annoyance
Sep. 4th, 2003 07:48 amThe algorithm used for tallying comments posted/received has been changed sometime over the past few months. One's responses to others' comments in one's own journal are now counted as both "posted" and "received", instead of only the former. This has had the unfortunate effect of suddenly inflating my "received" total, pushing it past the "posted" total.
So now it looks like I'm a net LJ drain, parasitically drawing in more inputs than I'm generating comments in return. A minor annoyance, granted, but I dislike looking like I'm not-pulling-my-weight online...

Date: 2003-09-04 02:20 pm (UTC)I don't think I've ever looked at those numbers on anyone else's user info page, and I think I've only looked at them on my own maybe once or twice in the course of seeing how many posts I'd made to my own journal.
