Sitting in a vehicle health management telecon...

Yesterday wasn't terribly productive... I've been down and stressed. Most of the day was spent wrangling with hopeforyou's contract management over if/when/how she would be going to the field site in Spain. I think that the uncertainty and stress has been harder on her than anything. After occasionally getting dinged for being too-soft on her, yesterday I got to role-play as the bad-guy, talking to her management via telecon. As things stand, her management is holding her back until later in the week or the weekend... now I get to negotiate with the project lead, Carol, as to whether that delay will mess up her field schedule. My role: catch flak (from both directions)... so my stress levels have been high.

Surreal moment... Hope called my cellphone while I was donating blood and on a gurney! So we were discussing the MARTE project while I was simultaneously bleeding and doing leg-lifts (to equalize blood in the body, so I don't get dizzy afterwards).

And then there was a blank check that patgreene lost...

Hugs , I hope today was a better one. I am free tommorow for a late lunch. Like 130 or 2 pm. It would be good to see you. And I will even be in MTN view. Would love to share with you how my first day at the office goes.
