dust and big-box stores

This morning I missed breakfast while in an IM session with
hopeforyou... we were discussing how to solve our ftp drop issue. Resolved, and I've now transferred files back to Ames. I was also left behind at the hotel... there are no taxis in Nerva, and it is 7km to the museum from here, so the hotel owner (Casiano) gave me a lift.
We stopped the drilling at 2pm -- we were running out of supplies. The drilling is deeper than expected, ahead of schedule, down to 117m. I spent the morning working on subsampling -- grinding 5 grams or more of rock dust from the fresh face of a core sample.

Next week, I'll become the designated shopper (because I'll have a van and a NASA credit card, and Larry goes home Monday). So after lunch I went into the suburbs of Seville to go shopping. We bought things at a big-box home-improvement store, reminiscent of Home Depot... it was a bit surreal.

Then bought supplies at a hyper-market nearby, and returned to Nerva. No haircuts while in Seville...
