The latest LJ feature is fun to play with and look for patterns... but what use is it otherwise? One advantage of having shared interests with someone can be in the planning of mutually-interesting social activities. But how does one organize around highly-specifc interests (say, oceanography)? Or overly-broad interests (i.e., chocolate)?

Oh, well. This is suddenly a salient issue for me because my social calendar for April is now completely empty... not even lunches. If I want to be around people, I will probably need to organize something. Find something sufficiently interesting to do to attract people.

Today I was scratched-out twice... once, by a close friend/TOCOTOX who said that zie was simply too busy to see me this month, but that zie would call me if zie needed any help with zir business (counting craft supplies, that kind of thing). Or as a sort of last-resort date, if something else cancelled for zir. Sigh. And then tonight a sweetie, looking to placate zir primary about an upcoming multi-day retreat at Harbin (with other lovers there, but not the primary or myself), jettisoned our date next week in order to save zir retreat with zir other SOs. Sigh. Disposable.

So I am left to my own devices this month. Hopefully there will be an East Bay pool party in a month or so. In the meantime, there are still lots of Little League games...
