It's 1:20am, I'm wide awake, and bored. No caffeine this evening, just well-rested. No interesting books around... I've covered LJ and e-mail replies, sent back a 3 page relationship discussion to J with comments, and Pat was asleep two hours ago.

There are three or four people I that recognize currently on AIM, but they probably are in the midst of sessions with various SOs and I'd better not bother them. And one of them should have gone to bed already anyway...

I can hear three distinct fan hums in an otherwise-still house. I guess doing something useful (like cleaning the refigerator) would be too noisy.

This afternoon, I took the kids to Malibu Fun Center in Redwood City, to the batting cages for practice. Followed by video games in the arcade. Then home, and then to the park... kids on scooters, myself on skates, for over an hour. And I only fell once, and that was while trying to dodge a back-stepping pedestrian. Then watched Red Dwarf and anime this evening... and now, nothing. Except rambling.

Next weekend I'll have the unaccustomed experience of free rein at home, no coordination necessary... Pat will be away on her trip, I'll be here with the kids. I don't know what to do... maybe I could persuade an LDR sweetie to fly in for just an overnight ;-). With a sitter I could go to

eeyore74's party. Or see a movie that Pat wouldn't like. Or roam around SF, top-down. Or without babysitting, have friends over or take the kids on a road trip to J's house. Or just sit quietly at home, like Pat does when I'm away on business trips. Lots of possibilities... (smile).
