Were the three of us, for going out at 9pm to start a simulation run while we had a break in the weather. AR wimped-out, stayed back and went to bed.

It was an excellent run... we covered 1.4 km with our simulated rover. Mostly in freezing fog... but at the very end, after we wrapped up, a ray of sunshine burst open behind us. And we were the first to visit a small lake, so I've requested naming privileges. Probably "Horse Lake", after the project's name.

Then it began raining as we took down the repeaters, and then we wandered off course and nearly ran out of gas getting back to base. Now it is nearly four, and I've been going for 21 hours, and I'm soaked, cold, thirsty and my tent leaks... but happy. Even if Friday's test is rained out, we've now covered our target of three simulations for this week. (grin, sigh of relief)

After the midnight-sun simulation run last night in the fog, VR and I were tired and slept late... until 9:30am or so. More weather issues loomed -- we had freezing drizzle and spray-like light rain, in waves -- but since it wasn't heavy, I decided to press forward with one more test site... after all, we had met our requirements already, so it didn't matter much if one of the computers or cameras now died in the rain.
