Something accomplished

Rather than let an issue that had been bugging me fester, I brought it up with a sweetie tonight. That was a positive, if bleary-eyed accomplishment... it turns out that we were largely just talking past each other.

But in past years (say, before a couple of years ago) I wouldn't have said anything directly, or asked to talk... and my anger and resentment would have built up and up over weeks until some small unrelated gaffe triggered a huge negative reaction on my part. So I feel good about having dealt with this issue with this person early and with much less drama than would have once happened. :-)
