(no subject)

Tuesday morning... some birdsong outside my window. Quiet and green. Time to walk over into Nara-koen, to the prefecture hall that is our conference site, avoiding the evil deer. My paper is scheduled in about seven hours... I need to practice a bit, and will probably do this surreptitiously during the plenary session. Later, Yukiko will arrive from Tokyo -- she changed her conference plans to arrive sooner in order to hear my talk, I'm quite honored.

Off to work...
