Two concerts

Drove to Berkeley tonight and listened to an early music group perform Marian songs... it was pleasant, about 20 people in the audience, and I was able to hear dawnd's beautiful singing voice. Afterward we socialized with the choir... I saw akienm, redhawke, grynz (for the first time in a year! yay), and met phoenixrisen.

Yesterday I heard James's band concert at his middle school... less elegant than tonight, but it cheered me at a time when I was depressed. And James's talents were improved on percussion.

What to do after being married for 20 years?

In five weeks, patgreene and I will have been married for 20 years! We were each other's first-and-only boyfriend/girlfriend, respectively, having had no other dating experience on either side ;-). We may have rushed into things a bit (getting engaged while Pat was still an undergrad) but it has somehow worked out, over the years. And with a healthy helping of both trials and joys.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to how best to commemorate the occasion, though... so I'm going to enlist inputs via an LJ poll (smile).

(no subject)

Two weeks ago... I was airborne, over the Pacific. A week ago I was riding a bus in Kyoto over to Kinkaji temple. A week from now, I should be airborne again, on my way home from Washington, DC. Any suggestions for two weeks from now?

Tonight... we're back from covering two Little League games (David's team won, for only the second time this season -- and he scored) and trying to get Kevin and Allegra quiet enough to go to sleep :-).
