(no subject)

Just back home from the drive-in... I took patgreene and the boys and one of James's friends to see "Finding Nemo." The two 12-year-olds sat outside in lawn chairs, the rest of us in the minivan. It's still pleasant, sitting out and watching the twilight and a beautiful full moon.

Tomorrow I'll be at Little League events from 9:30am-4pm. Then the rest of the weekend is open...

Today we had a group meeting in the morning, discussing sensor signal processing and software development roles. Then I went out for lunch with SD and we continued on to Fry's Electronics, buying $250-worth of electronic components and tools. Then threw up my hands and did an air traffic risk analysis... myself.

I've also booked reservations for Nancy to come out here over the 7/4 weekend, following Pat and my wedding anniversary (and watching the kids while we go off and celebrate ;). and helping me with kitchen destruction and renovation for three days afterward. She's going above-and-beyond, in my opinion. Now I just have to find someplace to take patgreene...

Field work is go

One other thing today... my travel orders for Devon Island were approved and signed. So it is highly likely that I'll be in Canada for the second half of July, continuing the spacesuited science productivity studies I began in the Arctic last summer. And hopefully doing a bit of geology around the impact crater site.
