Nor the mole meeting, mostly focussed on how to quickly find a signal-processing EE to design the down-hole multiplexer board. p3aches was congenial and we finally had a chance to catch up on each other's lives after a busy several months.
This afternoon, I spent my project reserves, given that there's less than a month left in our fiscal year. $3K was held aside for end-of-year equipment purchases, $2K allocated to cover next year's work cellphone charges, $20K to extendhopeforyou's programming task and $2K to extend LB's part-time logistics task. I'm happy because last year I waited too long -- and higher management grabbed my reserves and spent them on something else. I should now be covered project-wise well into calendar year 2004, even if the FY04 budgets are held up by continuing resolutions in Congress this fall.
Tonight... I'm taking a break from writing slides for JL to make this entry. Afterpatgreene was sweet and retrieved iced coffee for me from the local Starbucks. And I still need to do SD's quarterly performance appraisal before I go in tomorrow morning...
