That day's over, at least
Sep. 10th, 2003 01:47 amMy boss chiding me about letting SD use my NASA credit card to buy sensors for the lab... another NASA center grabbing half of our air-traffic project's budget (hey, $70M over 5 years is almost "real money")... evasion and blame-shifting among colleagues over the backroom dealing that led to said loss... suggestions that SD lose her cubicle and be forced to double-up in my office, including her lab equipment (!) to free up office space for new arrivals... the MARTE lead saying that she had to have coverage in Spain starting next Tuesday, and that I'd have to pull a last-minute switch with
hopeforyou if she's not healthy enough to travel by Monday... a partner's loss of a beloved pet... feelings of helplessness in comforting said partner... Pat's broken foot... yelling at each other over silly things, nerves raw and edgy. Kids keeping a low profile, understandably.
Overall, I'm glad that that day's over! Although I had a quick lunch with
p3aches, and made progress on next year's satellite communications to the Spanish field site.
