Sliding past
Mar. 24th, 2004 10:57 pmTonight was my usual Wednesday ice skating... but I've paid a price for being on the road for four of the past five weeks. The rest of my class are working on the Freestyle 1 program... which I only know barely, from a year ago. Unless I can find some private lessons quickly, I'm past the point where I can catch up in class. Tonight, in 45 minutes I skated *once* with the class... when the teacher took me aside and led me through the routine. It didn't help that we only had one instructor tonight, instead of the usual two.
OTOH, my individual maneuvers were surprisingly crisp... I landed the half-flip from a moving start both times I tried it, unlike last time. And my spins are still improving, as is my spiralling. Maybe I'll take an ice dance class, over the summer...
I'm now back at work in my office at 11pm, working on travel vouchers from the aforementioned trips...
