riding a wave
Apr. 3rd, 2004 05:51 pmOf good things, today :D. Just received a call on my cellphone from a woman at NASA Peer Review Services, in DC... the Education and Public Outreach (E/PO) proposal that we submitted last November has gotten a favorable review. It was largely written by
hopeforyou, so she deserves kudos here :).
A final selection decision is pending, but the odds are in our favor... we requested about $120K spread over three years.
This follows on a lovely afternoon spent at
mactavish's surprise birthday party in Fremont -- Pat and the kids came, too. And
joedecker gave me a ride... in his new hybrid Prius, which has impressive acceleration and tie-down hardpoints in the back ;-).
And earlier, Kevin had a good Little League game... his team defeated the league-leading Athletics 8-6, but more importantly actually made plays in the field...
I'm slightly sunburned and happy. Tonight I'm going to go out with Pat, probably to see "Spotless Mind". And tomorrow I'm off to DC early, with a 4-hour stopover in Seattle for Sunday brunch with
who_is_she en route. :)
