dawnd in San Leandro and dropped off some boots and a shirt from Spain. BTW, the restaurant was good, and it has just opened -- 50% off their whole menu through the weekend. Lunch (sushi roll and nigiri, tempura, teriyaki) for two people was $11. Folks living in the East Bay might consider taking advantage.
Also sawakienm and grynz for a little while... an interesting eye-opening note from the latter is that apparently it is illegal in Virginia to have sex with socks on, a 1950s provision left over from trying to bust teenagers grappling in secluded parked cars while they were otherwise dressed. Since I believe that driving barefoot is also verboten in that state, flip-flops sound useful...
Stockings, on the other hand... (thinks of a photo from Virginia that I saw recently ;).
Last night was my first figure skating class of the season... I was a bit rusty, and had to work on upper-body posture going into 3-turns and even simple stroking posture. Collided with someone and fell while practicing backwards crossovers in the large rink. But my spirals were good (instructor said "most men can't get their leg up like that"), I hit my jumps OK, and I did a one-footed spin for the first time :).
Off to a set of meetings, at work...
