anticipation

Six more days, and a particular sword will cease dangling over my head. I can hardly wait.... (wry grin).

Off to bed, must get up in 2 hours to go to the airport... nice date tonight with the cuddly patgreene, dinner and Hitchhiker's Guide.

weekend playlist

Saturday... went to courtneyofeden's house that night for a party and enjoyed myself, saw a half dozen friends while J. and A. hung out.

Yesterday... church, good date with patgreene, talked about travel to Spain and Germany this fall. Earlier, I spent the afternoon on home-improvement, adding a receptacle in the kitchen and rebundling the house's data and phone and video cables and labelling raceways. While doing so, I listened to music I'd just bought from iTunes...

Heh. Given 1,3,4 and 7, no one can say I don't have a sense of humor... and 12 is apropos. I do tend to dance, alone with myself... even while doing electrical work, spinning with tools in hand when no one's around (chuckle).

Not licentious, no, not me...

I'm functioning on 3.5 hours sleep, about half that on the first flight. Thank goodness for upgrades...

In Minneapolis, I was rushing to my gate through security... somewhere on the other side, I dropped my driver's license. In DC, Hertz wouldn't let me take out a car without it... so I spent an hour on my cellphone (thank goodness it's back...) calling the DMV in Sacramento... just before 5pm in CA. I did my best upset-stranded-traveler and politeness on the DMV phone agent, who was about to go home and initially resisted printing and FAXing me a temporary license. But she did.... whew.

Stressed and fatigued, I needed a hug, and geekchick very kindly obliged :). I feel better now.
