Lunchtime break...
Sep. 12th, 2005 04:50 pmLunch in the Spanish sense, i.e. at 3-4:30pm. Breakfast is often minimal and occurs around 8:30am, then work goes from 9:30-2:30pm, then a long lunch, then more work from 4:30-7:30pm. Officially... however the US team members usually go to 9-10pm.
Today's my first full day back in Rio Tinto... I'm over 1/3 of the way through this trip but have only spent 5 of 18 nights here thus far... this will change, as I'm here at least M-F for the next 3 weeks.
sarahh and I have started inadvertently referring to the cottage here as "home", given that we're cohabitating in some sense. ;^)
Not even halfway, though... this is a *long* trip. But this one, and the trip to Japan next month, may be the last overseas travel for me (and hence my last chance to bring along sweeties and friends abroad) for several years, given project lifecycles and NASA's budgets.
