Dec. 26th, 2005 01:12 amThings have returned to relative normality here... Mom will see her doctor tomorrow, Dad's stable, and even the dog is better. It was a stressful day... scrambling to cover. I was exhausted by the time we got through dinner (the turkey turned out fine, despite improvisation on cooking techniques).
I found a nap spot... the rental car, outside in the driveway. (Pat was sprawled across our bed, and my mother wouldn't leave me alone when I dozed off on the couch). Then... my sister-in-law, the one undergoing chemotherapy, had a grand mal seizure... once it was over and she was stabilized, she and my brother and kids departed. Played board games afterward, until my sister
suspira20 departed likewise.
And a happy Chanukah festival season for those who celebrate it. :)
From my son James, in an LJ comment... Consider the people you know as the little chain links in the mail jacket that is your community. In a way, if you don't wear it in battle, you fall that much faster when the sword of fate hands you a cruel blow. - James Best wishes and prayers to
dancing_star and her family.
