nice bounce-back :)

This weekend has been just what I needed, after Friday's disappointing news. Wine and Song on Friday was small, but very cuddly for me... I spent time sandwiched between cyan_blue and tenacious_snail, and felt reassured and valued. And I sat on two different corners (grin), and also talked to fructivore.

Saturday morning at 5am, I was lovingly and passionately woken by patgreene... yay! And then fell back asleep, nestled. Very sweet. :) Worked around the house, finally fixed a balky kitchen electrical outlet box.

Then last night, Les picked me up on her way from the Observatory-South housewarming, and we went to a contra dance in SF, picking up inflectionpoint en route. It was energetic, a bit dizzy and sweaty and lots of fun. I danced every dance, including a square (it broke down when no one except Les knew hands-around) and an ECD-like contra with two heys in the pattern. Les's warm smile while swinging, Joanne's exuberance, general bounciness... whew. I was high on endorphins by the time we left, after the first set. Then Les and Joanne drove me back down to the housewarming in Cupertino, while they went off together.

And the housewarming was fun! They've really dug out -- I saw no boxes. And I know what the starting point looked like ;). Good food, good socializing, saw Eric and Beth for the first time in months, caught up with karenbynight and met sarahh's new sweetie. =)

Today... church, put up shelves, Little League practice with Kevin, and pack for Idaho for tomorrow.
