Drinking and driving school...

There... online traffic school course done, in about an hour, lubricated by 18-year-old Scotch. Drinking and driving school... actually because of a speeding citation I received in December while helping move the GH! household. Here... skipping the material, for the most part, and going directly to the section exams and thence to the final.

Nice conversation with geekchick tonight, nice brunch with cyan_blue and R. this morning. And support from tenacious_snail. My car is in the shop, so lots of walking around.

Building, for work

Not software, but a wooden platform for the soon-to-arrive drill. Using my own tools at home, in my driveway, with NASA-paid lumber from Home Depot (they were bemused by NASA buying their stuff for research use... ;). A wood chip flew off of my table saw and hit my right cheek, so I'll have a bruise there to possibly scare geekchick on Saturday (grin).

Car's out of the shop, finally, but not without an hour wait from 5-6pm, waiting for the shop owner to return from dropping his daughter off at tutoring.

Tonight... skating class.
