(grumble)

The Global TV guy is arriving in Resolute Friday *afternoon*, and the AP person is uncertain, so our media coverage may be gone.

And I'm feeling unsettled, a bit achey and with a few sniffles and a headache... hope I'm not coming down with something. Pascal isn't going to lead this afternoon's traverse, so it would be up to me (and right now, I just want to find someplace warm ;).

And the drill is making only slow progress, and my team were mostly late to breakfast, and all there was was link sausages and oatmeal... (nods).

Sun is out, making drilling progress, feeling better, and different media contacts. And the webcam is verified (thanks, geekchick!). Off to the crater...

at work...

After 11pm... we went back to drill some more after dinner, gunning for that 3m mark. The drill is reaming the ice on the sides of the hole, making a horrible screeching sound... I have my new iPod in place with the volume turned way up...

Today... improved. The drill started making progress again, the sun came out, and we had a fun traverse around the crater. I led 11 ATVs and riders in a big loop, visiting several sites. And no one got stuck, lost, or broken down.
