(groan) now James is down...
Mar. 1st, 2007 10:59 amAs though this week hadn't been strung-out and stressful already... James had an accident in his high school PE class, apparently tripped and fell into a wall, and he is disoriented and talking slowly.
patgreene has gone to the school, there are paramedics there and they are going to take him to either El Camino or Stanford hospital ER. Where I will meet them shortly, with insurance information and support.
After the way the past week has gone... (groan). Bad enough talking to attorneys, playing telephone tag with reporters, and going back and forth with the SD city attorney's pffice (they *still* haven't gotten the police report!).
Not to mention a really rough couples counselling session on Tuesday night, and trying to do actual work -- I have an article on "Drilling on Mars" for the Society of Petroleum Engineers monthly magazine that was due a few days ago, and my drop-dead extension only goes to the 12th. Plus an LPSC poster to create and next week's lunar analogs workshop... if I can focus on any one thing long enough to make headway.
At least figure skating practice was a welcome break, last night...
[update: probably a concussion, waiting at ER for a CT-scan to check for any fractures. His radiology order says "Pregnant: Y"... who knew?]
