Logistics...

The Arctic field season is starting... today is being spent wrestling with Shipping and export control and figuring how to get a NASA truck to haul things over to the Air National Guard depot across the runway. Meanwhile, today is camp-opening or put-in day on Devon Island...

Otherwise... my personal email has ben bouncing for a couple of days, as the account quota had (unbeknownst to me) filled with spam... I *really* dislike my current ISP, ever since my DSL provider farmed it out in January. If only I could retrieve my website files... the new ISP refuses to allow ftp larger than 200K, so I can't make a backup except by hand. Anyway, if anyone has sent me mail over the weekend, it should go through now.

24 years ago...

On a sunny, humid Florida morning... a nervous 22-year-old grad student waited for his bride-to-be, lovely in white and equally as nervous. Not knowing what they were each getting into, exactly, but wanting to try and strive and work together. And coping together with successes and adversity... beginning with being stranded at the church after the wedding (best man departed, with the car keys) and having to ride to the reception an hour late, in the back of the photographer's dirty station wagon. ;-)

patgreene and I have come through a lot, since then... our relationship has changed and evolved into different modes over the years, and still does. We're both still growing and changing. And we seem to do really well at supporting each other and coping together with challenges. Happy anniversary, beloved! :)
