Leaving Houston...
Mar. 14th, 2008 04:27 pmMeetings with project management at JSC? Done. Proposal team recruited and meeting held? Done. Learned new things about meteorites and Mars polar sediments? Done. Presented a poster to 20 people? Done. Two different field science proposals for this summer, written and submitted? Done. It has been an intense week or so.

tenacious_snail, we still found time to go to the beach in Galveston, find excellent seafood, spend time reconnecting, buying silly T-shirts, and eating Tex-Mex. And today, a bit of geocaching, after LPSC was done and on our way to the airport. Les dropped me here at Hobby -- she will drop my rental car and get a flight from IAH. Both of us should rendezvous in 3 hours in New Orleans, for the weekend. Amd I'm going to try to stand down and not think of work, at least for the next 24 hours. :)
