As far as the Rabbits go, I twice (over the past 18 months) tried to get on their mailing list, and once on the LJ community. No response/turned down all three times. Two attempts to join the S&P LJ community were likewise ignored or rebuffed. I'm not going to beg... groups will knit themselves, and (as an outsider) I will likely grow less close to included/selected friends over time.
At this point, looking at portions of the local community, if it weren't for a couple of recent inclusive gestures -- bdot's tickets, housedreamland's help to the airport -- I'd be ready to chuck most of the Bay Area poly community...
