(chuckle) I allow them to fill up my inbox (answering machine), but I don't necessarily read (listen to) all of them. And occasionally I'll talk to a telemarketer just for the heck of it. :-) But I don't read e-mail from (accept calls from) anonymous-sources, those are blocked.
As far as killfiles go, I've also been lucky in that no one has ever pursued a campaign of ongoing Usenet harrassment or abuse towards me, or stalked me. Under those conditions, I wouldn't hesitate to killfile them (or remove that person from my LJ friends-list, etc.).
