Interestingly enough, I made my first "friends-only" entry today. Something I didn't think I'd do, and which I questioned even as I did it. And not only was it "friends-only," it was to a specific group of friends. In some ways I wished I'd felt free to let all my LJ friends see it, but I had my reasons for keeping it restricted.

You were on the list of people "allowed" to see the entry. So, maybe you can see one sample of why sometimes people do restrict their entries.

BTW, I'd consider it a great favor if you let me know whether or not you saw it (don't quite trust this newfangled technology ya know :-)
