jayThe guys flying up yesterday to Resolute from Ottawa were forced to return to Iqualuit because high winds made it unsafe for their 737 to land. I'm going up today in a little Beech 99 from Cambridge Bay... this should be interesting. I may end up overnighting in YCB if the weather hasn't improved.
Today's my actual birthday... I enjoyed the company of friends here in Edmonton over dinner last night, at an Italian place on Whyte. Fortuitously, I even overlapped with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
purplecthulhu's visit before he returns to the UK. I feel at home in this place... thanks to purplejavatroll,therealjae,handslive, boubabe, and mouseman for being there, last night and on past annual visits.
If onlyhandslive hadn't leaned back just then... ;-)
Now, off to buy a cable, and to the airport.
