bear sighting

I got up just now and went downstairs to the dining room for some juice. I heard the dogs chained down by the harbor shore barking... looked out, and saw that there is a polar bear down there, past the dogs... back to bed for now. 2am and light outside.

I was woken up by barking dogs (not mine, fortunately), but I did not get up to look to see if there were a polar bear. Somehow, I think not. Besides, it is dark here at 3:30 am.

For a brief moment, I forgot you weren't at home, and wondered what on earth a polar bear was doing loose in the Bay Area. Then the ceffeine took effect and I remembered. :)

I've sighted quite a few bears in SF's Castro district. ;-)
