Leaving Seattle....

[profile] loitl and [personal profile] who_is_she graciously offered us a place to sleep last night, after we finally left Vancouver around 3pm. Since we greatly enjoy seeing them and their lovely place, it was a happy occurrence. The kids and Matt keep disappearing into his "cave", along with Kato.

It feels comfortable here. But time to roll... I have to be at work in less than two days, and school starts next week as well. I thought about trying to fly to Edmonton, as far as plane schedules go, but would have to leave [profile] patgreene and the kids to drive home on their own from Seattle. Pat says she is game for it, but I feel uncomfortable with that idea. So I'll head south with them and have to be content with the virtual wake.

Which I'll be posting tonight from Crescent City, CA... headed south across Washington and Oregon today, and we're already 2 hours late after a late night talking with Pat and Lisa...

Home is a wonderful thing. :) Just going over photos & thinking of those of you still on the road. Safe travel.

Not enough time (needed 2-1/2 weeks) or money. And I wasn't sure if I could handle 2500 miles roundtrip with the kids over a week, let alone 5000 miles over two+...

Maybe... not driving there, though.

Thanks, and glad that you made it home safely.
