Yes, actually I've noticed less email, calls, and IMs, even in LDRs. Face to face time tends to be driven by external factors like business trips, so is less affected. Even in IM sessions, the pauses get *longer* while a given sweetie prioritizes responses first to new-bright-shiny. But that's arguably an inevitable part of NRE, which is lovely for the participants...
Keep-or-dump is IMO too black and white or binary... more like dump, keep at same level, or downgrade by varying amounts.
