A dreary start...

Rain, a large branch down in the backyard, late to work (took James to the dentist)... and then was in a traffic accident on the way back. I was driving down Middlefield in the left lane, and some guy just pulled out of an apartment complex's driveway, left into oncoming traffic. I hit the brakes, but it was wet... the guy pulling out of the driveway also had a fogged windshield and his car was plastered with leaves, so he probably couldn't see well, but he finally noticed and tried to stop, halfway across the 4-lane road... too late. Sigh. No one hurt, minor sheet metal and bumper damage on both cars. One more annoyance with insurance companies ahead...

101 right at Moffett was moving in both directions, although unusually heavy for 10am... I heard from the dental receptionist that other sections were a proverbial parking lot, during rush hour.
