if you will recall, i was not cuddled with anyone either...nor were several others... there were only three folks sitting with arms around each other and as others entered the tub, folks squished up.... i suppose that if having (it was not 2 feet..the tub is not that big!) water room on either side is not what you wanted, you could have asked if someone wanted to share your space! there was one of your sweeties (don't know if this is the term you would use for her...so insert the term of your choice!) in the tub at the same time you were in there as i recall....
