Ice skating party

Two of the past three years, I've hosted a December ice skating gathering at a nearby, outdoors Palo Alto rink. I'd like to do it again, but could use inputs of the best dates. This would be a child-friendly (encouraged) event on a late Sunday afternoon. Cider, cocoa, some snacks, and people gliding around in their winter outerwear...

Time: a winter Sunday afternoon, 3:30-5:30pm.

[Poll #381894]

well I can't go but I think it sounds like a delightful party. Wish I were local, I'd show up for cocoa and a spin 'round the ice!!

How much does this event cost? I'd love to take the girls but I have to budget it first.

In the past, I've paid for the admission charges for everyone who RSVP'd on time, so basically free if you have your own skates (rental skates are $3).
