Good news... I'm safely across the continent, now in the DC area in Tyson's Corner. And my rental car is one of the new Mustangs, albeit just a V-6 model.

Bad news... since the NASA telecoms office switched me unawares to Sprint, then switched me back, now Verizon and Sprint can't decide which one controls my phone number. So my cellphone has stopped working. Voicemail apparently goes to Sprint now, so don't bother leaving it (I'll never hear it)... naturally this happens on the day I begin a road trip. Sigh.

Oh, and I could find no socks to pack last night, after rummaging through unfolded laundry... so I need to find a Target store or equivalent around here...

The joys of cell phones - not!

And that's what IM is for ;-)

I can call my Sprint voicemail directly from any phone by calling my phone, and hitting the star key when it picks up. Then it asks for my password, and I go from there the usual way.

Ah... but I never got a Sprint password, and my phone was sent back. Sigh...

Then you might not need a password. Someone in customer service at Sprint could probably help you with this.888-788-4727
