Was full of anguish, frustration, and a plea (and warning) to acknowledge her failings -- the real person, good and bad -- not simply some idealized-Rose-projection. Comments were disabled, so I'm making a note to myself... what crossed my mind was a comment made this past week by our visiting, soon-to-retire NASA Administrator and fearless leader, Dan Goldin.

He said," Don't set your goals too low... if you succeed ten out of ten times, then you have failed because you haven't challenged yourself enough. But if your goals are unrealistic or your execution is bad, and you fail most of the time, then you have also failed. Only if you can be comfortable with failing sometimes -- say, two or three out of ten times -- can you ever really succeed."

"And when we fail, we accept our lumps, learn from our mistakes and go on." NASA will really miss this guy, I think...
