I think I'm in Kansas...

In Lawrence, Kansas... 24 hours ago I was in showering in my Madrid hotel. Funeral is at 11am tomorrow.

The flight over the Atlantic was okay... no upgrade this time, and I got in a shouting match with the occupant of the seat in front of me, but I slept for three hours. No problems in Customs. I was able to have dinner in Minneapolis with Nancy before catching a third flight to here. The contrast between Madrid and rural Kansas is a bit surreal, but I'm glad to see family here.

Lawrence Kansas is a college town. I've never been there.

Some guy wanted to fully recline his seat, then complained any time it was brushed-against or bumped from behind... made threats of violence post-flight. Which I could have reported and caused him to be detained or even sent back to Spain (he was not a US citizen), but I preferred to stare him down and challenge him instead.
