Charges
My shipment of Arctic equipment is still sitting in Los Angeles at the Air Canada cargo terminal... due to haggles over batteries. These are sealed Ni-Cd or lithium ion batteries used in camcorders or laptops. Airfreight wants material safety data sheets, otherwise they are now categorized as "Dangerous Goods" like ammunition or volatiles. And have to be repacked into 10-kg small shipments. Grr. These are simple batteries!
Otherwise, I'm charged with finding a nice place for dinner tomorrow -- it will be the 19th wedding anniversary for
patgreene and myself. Anyone with local fine-dining suggestions? Or suggested activities?

What do the both of you like? Italian? Asian? French?
There's a nice Italian place on Murphy street called Il Postalle
For Asian, PF Changs comes recommended
For French, there's Chez TJ's in downtown mountain view.

I always like La Fondu in Saratoga, bit pricey but you are very active durring dinner and the food is good and so is the desert fondu... which... if you want to save some money, after 10 you can show up just for desert... well worth it if your into chocolate.
Otherwise... Passages to India is good and quiet and 'nice'... and the food is good. I guess it depends what you are looking for.
