random bits... sliding all over

jayWhee... tonight was a night to turn up the radio, say to Bon Jovi, and kick the V-8 up to 6000 rpm into the freeway... until the rear wheels kicked out sideways across two lanes while entering 101. It was quickly back aligned and I didn't hit anything, so no harm done.
At home...patgreene is having a bad IT security day, first an unintentionally unfiltered LJ post (that I wasn't supposed to see), then she reset her laptop password -- and then forgot it. I had to login as root and reset it for her. A bit like leaving the car unlocked with the keys in it, then locking them inside. At least the blood's off of the kitchen floor, for now.
Otherwise... last night's skating party was a success, we had 16 people, ten of them skating, and the weather cooperated with a clear, crisp night sky...
