Low-key Sunday

jayAfter yesterday... I slept in late, skipped church, and have mostly hung out with Pat and the kids. Sanded and polished a piece of copper pipe for kitchen decorative use, and drove David to a playdate.
I'd left my hair and beard on the long side until after last night's party, purely because I knew thatdawnd likes it better when it is longer. As things go, it is now after the party (we were each happily preoccupied and I scarcely saw her ;), and I need it more businesslike for the next three weeks of meetings and conferences, so off it came this afternoon. Now back to on par with tenacious_snail's length.
It's the weekend... I feel like I should be doing some home project, *something* useful. I have two proposals due in two weeks, and a paper in 10 days. Instead, I think I will do something radical and actually loaf this evening. Possibly just sit and read, or sip coffee and listen to music.... hmm. If I can let go enough to stand down.
