jayOkay, I now have *something* useful to show for my day off... I found and repaired the problem with the oven. Once I removed it out of the wall and took apart the back, it was obvious... a broken wire hanging loose below the lower coil terminal. The oven now heats. :) The salvaged thermostat that I installed 2 weeks ago needs adjustment, but otherwise it seems OK.
