car follies...
Aug. 19th, 2006 04:56 pmMy Mustang convertible has been in the shop for most of the time since I've been back from the Arctic... nearly a week, this time. Waiting for a replacement EGR valve, which finally came in today... for the wrong engine. Gah. I might get the car back today, but it looks increasingly unlikely. I'm supposed to go to a private party tonight in the East Bay... time to start trying to line up rides. And I hate asking for help.
OTOH, we picked up James from band camp, which was fine -- he has learned to march, and carries one of their bass drums, and wasn't one of the kids stung by a swarm of yellowjackets. I'm dubious about their music this year... granted, it isn't all written yet. Looked for

I looked briefly at the Focus hatchback when car shopping since they're kinda cute, but after the unpleasantness that was involved with the two Escorts we owned, I decided I wasn't likely to buy a car with a Ford badge slapped on it without a really compelling reason.
