Jetlagged? Nah.
I wowed them.
An ovation... from a *review panel* meeting at JPL. When I started my talk, faces were attentive-but-neutral... by the end, smiles and nods and congratulations. And applause, which almost never happens in technical meetings.
But my team did a great job, the project is/was a resounding technical success and has gone far towards establishing the technical feasibility of doing subsurface exploration on Mars in the next decade, so what's not to like? And I rock, especially when I can even get known sceptics agreeing and nodding.
And GM and SP both had favorable hints about further work in this line, rumors they'd heard. :)
